BACHELOR OF ARCHITECTURE (B.ARCH.)
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to
the five-year degree course in Architecture of the Shivaji
University.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Eligibility::
Students from Science, Commerce or any other stream, who have scored
more than 50% marks as an aggregate in 10+2 Senior Secondary
Certificate Exam (with Mathematics and English as a compulsory
subjects)
The admissions committee and the Council of Architecture also accept
other equivalent examinations (with Mathematics and English as
compulsory subjects)
The students have to take NATA examination, which is set by the
Council of Architecture, New Delhi, compulsory for all architectural
studies throughout India.
What Is NATA?
The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures aptitude
of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The
test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportions,
aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking, that have been acquired
over a long period of time, and that are related to specific field
of study, i.e. Architecture.
Who Takes It and Why?
Prospective applicants desirous of taking admission to First year of
undergraduate course in Architecture (Bachelor of Architecture) in
India take NATA. NATA scores are used by admissions authorities of
different unaided & Govt. aided schools / colleges of Architecture,
to provide common measures for comparing the qualifications of
applicants.
Where Do People Take It?
NATA is offered year-round at designated Test Centers, usually
located at colleges / schools of architecture in India.
Who Accepts It?
All schools / colleges of Architecture - Govt., Govt. aided,
University Departments, private un-aided, including colleges
affiliated to self-financed Deemed Universities and Private
Universities, or any department of Architecture within a college,
requires that its applicants take the NATA.

Selection Procedure:: All eligible applicants will undergo Common
Architecture Aptitude Test conducted by Colleges in Shivaji
University area. 50% weightage for CAAT and 50% weightage for H.S.C.
marks. (Those who have appeared for 12th and result not yet declared
can also apply)
Application Form and Information Brochure:: This is available from
the College on payment by Cash or Demand Draft to be drawn in favor
of "Principal, College of Architecture" payable at "Solapur". Please
give your detailed address along with PIN code and Telephone number
with STD code.
